We Started AE Pet Care Because of a Vet Visit We'll Never Forget

A few years ago, a routine checkup turned into a wake-up call. Our vet held up a mirror to our dog's teeth and said something we weren't expecting: "This level of dental disease can affect the heart and kidneys. We need to talk about a cleaning — but at her age, I'm concerned about the anesthesia."
